Ventura County, Calif., is turning 150 years old this year, and to mark the occasion, the county is holding a series of "family-friendly pop-up celebrations," the Los Angeles Times reports.
The events, organized by the County of Ventura and the Museum of Ventura County, will be held at larger festival events and will feature community organizations that will provide opportunities for adults and children to interact and learn more about the county's history.
"These community partners will provide opportunities for residents to participate in arts and crafts activities, enjoy performances, and learn more about Ventura County's heritage both past and present," County Executive OfficerSevet Johnson says in a press release.
The full calendar of events is at www.venturacounty150.com.
